Scene out of Hitchcock's "The Birds"

Thank goodness a truck drove by and they all took off.....never to return!  Seriously, must have been some good eats after the rain that attracted them.  There had to be over a hundred birds pecking away at the grass this morning.

Deal of the Day!

Focus on what's in front of you

I love how this photo turned out. The background is slightly blurred, so your eye is drawn to the crisp white of the petals and the vibrant yellow-gold of the center of the flower. And check out the pattern in the middle! If you like patterns, checkout this fun website: www.colormandala.com

These make me smile, everytime!

Apples to Apples FUN!

I can't type because I am laughing too hard from playing this game with the family!

Playing Scrabble

Even though we are all sitting in the same room, we use our iPads to play scrabble with each other.  There are lots of shouts to play already, so I can take my turn!

Mmmmm! Swiss Maid Fudge

Spending the weekend in the Dells with the entire (13 of us) family.  We hit the main strip downtown and bought some yummy Turtle fudge.  Too bad it's almost gone.

Fun with Poses

My daughter and I had fun posing several of her stuffed animals and taking pictures and then sending them to each other.  It started out as a 'cheer up' pic and took on a life of its own!

Summertime Visitor

Doing some gardening this morning and met this beautiful creature!  I couldn't resist snapping a photo.  As part of a class I had last summer, we had to take a picture a day for a month.  The goal was to look at things from different perspectives.  It was a lot of fun and something that I promised myself I would try again.  So, here I go.....goal:  snap a pic-a-day for the next 30-odd days and post them, with commentary, of course.

Check back :)

Here are some of my favorite ones from last summer:

Fun In Summer School

Who says that summer school has to be boring?!?

Media Madness:
We've been having fun creating our "green" summer school newsletter....we've started the Media Madness website, rather than printing tons of paper newsletters.  The Media Madness (aka MM) team has been taking pictures, conducting interviews, working on comic strips, writing book reviews, creating puzzles, blogging and posting surveys.  The website has been a fun way for the MM team to learn new skills and communicate the fun stuff that is happening at summer school.

Book Corner:
In our Book Corner class we are having fun generating story ideas and writing stories!  The group has been trying a variety of ways to come up with new story ideas.  We created our own story dice, used ReadWriteThink's story cubes and Scholastic's Story Starters tool.  There is lots and lots of creativity flowing in the library this summer!

Check us out:  www.resmediamadness.weebly.com.
