As a way to learn about the magazines available in our school library, pairs of students selected a magazine title and created an Ad-Lib for their magazine. Students then presented their Ad-Lib to their class. We used this opportunity to discuss what it looks, feels and sounds like to be a good audience.
As a fun follow-up activity, students created crazy, silly, outrageous Mad-Libs. Because the students were studying dinosaurs, we elected to do the pre-historic Mad-Libs!
After illustrating the Mad-Libs, students used the Fotobabble app to snap a photo of their creations and record their silly stories.
Fun to create and fun to listen to.
